Jollibee Group Foundation gears up for BLT’s 7th Year PDF Print E-mail

The coming school year 2013-2014 marks the 7th year of implementation of the Busog, Lusog, Talino (BLT) School Feeding Program, an initiative of Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF) to provide daily lunch to undernourished Grades 1 and 2 pupils in public schools. Among the aims of BLT is to mobilize local communities to take active part in helping our public school learners.

JGF believes it is community ownership that will drive the attainment of the goals of BLT’s. “We did not foresee that BLT will expand this fast in terms of the number of schools it can cover nationwide. We were able to do this because schools and their communities have embraced the program as their own. Indeed, it is the local communities that will drive the change and JGF will be there as an active partner,” said JGF Executive Director Gisela Tiongson.
