Continuing with Jollibee’s mission of spreading the joy of eating to everyone, Jollibee marked another milestone with the celebration of its 700th store at Harrison Road, Baguio City with President Benigno S. Aquino III and local government executives.

"Jollibee takes pride in growing the number of its outlets in and outside the country by fulfilling its trademark of serving delicious products to all of its customers wherever they are located," said Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) Chairman and CEO Tony Tan Caktiong, during the store event. He added, "As Jollibee grows, its corporate social responsibility (CSR) also continues to grow through Jollibee Foundation’s CSR projects."

During the store celebration, Jollibee Foundation President Grace Tan Caktiong led the presentation of a framed photograph of the pupils of the Busog-Lusog-Talino (BLT) School Feeding Program to President Aquino. The photo symbolizes the strong commitment of Jollibee, its affiliate brands and Jollibee Foundation in scaling up its BLT Program.

In his message, Tony Tan Caktiong shared that since the BLT Program’s inception, it has covered 232 schools in 38 sites and benefited more than 13,000 undernourished Grades 1 and 2 pupils. Eight out of 10 pupils attained normal weight-for-age status at the end of the 136-day (8 month) feeding cycle. With these encouraging results, Jollibee aims to cover even more pupils and geographic locations in the coming years.

Jollibee is also helping address poverty, especially in the rural areas through the Bridging Farmers Program. Under this program, Jollibee works with small farmers by improving their productivity and market access to institutional buyers. Currently, there are 700 small farmers participating in the program focusing on three products, namely onion, bell pepper and salad tomato.

Other programs of the Jollibee Foundation that will be strengthened in the coming years include the scholarship and training programs such as Project ACE (Improving Access, Curriculum and Employability in HRM Education) and the Technical Skills Training, and its environment program. It also continues to assists three (3) Jollibee Gawad Kalinga villages located in Las Pinas, Southern Leyte and Butuan City.

Jollibee is the flagship brand of Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC). JFC operates Greenwich, Chowking, Red Ribbon, Manong Pepe, Caffe Ti Amo, Mang Inasal and Yonghe King, Hong Zhuang Yuan and San Pin Wang in China. Jollibee Foundation is the CSR arm of JFC.
