In the aftermath of the devastating floods that happened in late 2009, Red Ribbon moved as one socially responsible team to organize an outreach program for the flood victims. Partnering with the School for Disaster Relief Red Ribbon chose the F.P. Felix Elementary School in Cainta as a beneficiary school. Located in one of the hardest hit areas, the school had served as a temporary evacuation center for hundreds of families rendered homeless by the floods.

As school activity normalized and classes resumed, Red Ribbon saw the need for school supplies and reviewer workbooks for children scheduled to take the National Achievement Test in March 2010. Employee volunteers worked to solicit for donations. During the school’s Christmas party, the Red Ribbon employees and Management Committee joined almost 1,700 students in well-organized fun and games. Afterwards, they distributed the school supplies to the students. Cake slices went around as well, satisfying the cravings for sweets and good cheer. |
